Booking a Load with Classic Logistics

Here are a few things you can expect when you book a load with us.

Our Logistics Process

There are many ways to contact us to book a load. Some customers prefer to call or email, while others send inquiries through our online quote request form. Our larger customers typically make quarterly, six-month or annual agreements. 

The quote process is ultimately a conversation. We’ll work with you to set a competitive rate for transporting your goods. Through the entire process, you’ll get a single point of contact at Classic. Your quote, updates and everything in between will come from one person so you always know who to go to with questions.

How Do Freight Rates Work?

A freight rate is the cost of transporting a load from one point to another. These rates largely depend on supply and demand, the type of cargo and the distance to the end point. However, at Classic, we can offer more competitive rates for lanes and partner carriers we have prior experience with. 

Our relationships and experience allow us to offer a good price in situations that typically may not be at that price. For example, in a market where capacity is down, we could still lock in a competitive rate with one of our partner carriers thanks to our existing relationship. If a customer had gone with a different carrier, the rate might be considerably higher.

Who Transports the Load?

We have our own fleet of Classic vehicles, but also work with partner carriers around the U.S. to provide logistics solutions and capacity to customers in any market. Our partner carriers go through a stringent vetting process to ensure we only work with carriers that have the right equipment and dedication to service our customers. We require all of our carriers to have their authority for at least one full year before partnering with us. This allows us to select stable, top-quality carriers to haul our customers’ loads.
